These cartoons are very well executed but I would never use any of them to brand anything with which I was affiliated. The stylization is cliched and oftentimes appears to be a de-recontextualized ripoff of R. Crumb. By "de-recontextualized" I mean that Crumb took stylization techniques from Hallmark cards and moved them into the realm of the subversive. Divorced from the subversive element and relegated to mere commercial splash, the images look tawdry and false.
I do not intend this to be unpleasant criticism. I think your artistic skills are obvious, particularly in technical execution. I just think you have the creative ability to create images with far more power and branding imprint. As they are, they're just not memorable and look like something from one of those sunday newspaper blow-in catalog sheets.
When R. Crumb does it, it becomes a snide, acid-soaked stab at popular culture. Removed from that context, the images have no irony and are therefore as powerful and lasting as yesteryear's greeting cards.
I think he artistic skills are obvious particularly in technical execution.
